Your responsibilities
- Proactive participation in implementation and configuration of VMware solutions
- Providing technical support as requested and explain complex topics in layman’s terms
- Performing visualization, data backup & restore, and script programming for administrative purposes
- Supporting in building and maintenance of IT infrastructure
- Analyzing of appearing system issues and solving them to provide proper work of IT services
- Creating and maintenance of technical documentation
- Ensuring that all details related to the data are correct in order to avoid malfunctions, bugs, and security breaches
- Creating standard operating procedures on all implemented solutions
Our requirements
- VMware expertise: advanced proficiency with vSphere, vSAN, and other VMware products and platforms
- Veeam expertise (Veeam Backup & Replication)
- Temporary knowledge about HP VSA required (currently in migration to VMware vSAN)
- Troubleshooting: excellent problem-solvers, determine the main source of product issues and provide quick, elegant solutions
- Experience with Windows Client Operating Systems (7 and 10); Level – End User Support
- Attention to detail: ensure that all details are correct in order to avoid malfunctions, bugs, and security breaches
- Customer service: provide technical support as requested and explain complex topics in layman’s terms
- Virtualization, Backup & Restore
- Operating systems (processes, memory, input/output, file systems ...)
- Network infrastructure (network protocols, basic network services, firewalls, ...)
- Storage infrastructure (SAN, NAS ...)
- Hardware (especialy server hardware)
- Application architectures (client-server, ...)
- Security concepts (Authentication methods, ...)
- Active Directory Services
- Script programming for administrative purposes
- Basic processes in data centers (backup, change management, service levels ...
- Professional experience in a system administration role supporting MS Windows Server products 2012/2016. Good level of technical knowledge regarding Windows server setup, deployment, and maintenance
- Good understanding of networking principles and security fundamentals; familiar with hardening of systems and remediation of security events
- Good understanding of Windows update services (WSUS) and server security
- Create standard operating procedures on all solutions implemented
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Excellence English language skills on min. B2 level, German will be an asset
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, project management skills and positive attitude to undertake new challenges together with other team members
