About the project
Cut2Code is looking to expand its ranks – and you can be the one we're searching for! Not only will you get to improve your skillset in WordPress, but you will also have an opportunity to learn new technologies such as Shopify or WooCommerce and gain experience in international projects.
What we do:
We work with a broad range of customers worldwide, assessing their needs in various industries - from leaders of the FMCG industry in Poland, through universities and research companies from the USA, Chemistry Nobel laureates, to local communities, upcycling brands and NGOs fighting AIDS and world hunger.
Your responsibilities
Develop responsive, high-performance WordPress themes from scratch.
Customize and enhance existing themes according to client specifications or project requirements.
Create and customize WordPress themes and plugins.
Integrate third-party APIs with WordPress as needed.
Implement design files (mainly Figma, XD) into functional web pages using HTML, CSS, and JS.
Implement responsive design practices, ensuring consistent appearance across various devices and browsers.
Utilize front-end libraries and frameworks (if applicable).
Perform routine updates to themes and plugins.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise from updates or other sources.
Optimize website performance, accessibility, best practices, SEO.
Migrate WordPress sites from one host to another, ensuring all data, themes, and plugins are intact.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues arising from migrations.
Test and review site functionality across various devices.
Collaborate with the QA/PM to ensure the final product matches design specifications.
Work closely with project managers, designers, and other developers to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Provide support and guidance to junior developers.
Stay updated with the latest WordPress trends, best practices, and updates.
Share insights and knowledge with the team to foster collective growth.
Our requirements
Minimum 3 years of documented experience working on WordPress (WooCommerce knowledge will be an asset)
Skills in creating modern front-ends in the RWD technique
Good knowledge of CSS3, HTML5, JavaScript (including ES6+, AJAX, jQuery technology)
Knowledge of one of the Responsive CSS Frameworks (e.g. Bootstrap, Foundation, etc.)
Knowledge of graphic design programs, such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Photoshop and Illustrator (proficient enough to cut graphic designs to code)
Knowledge of version control systems (GIT)
Good knowledge of ACF and Gutenberg
Good knowledge of PHP
Good knowledge of SASS and SCSS
Ability to work with custom APIs
Ability to create and customize CSS/JS animations
Ability to communicate in English and Polish
Optional
Common PHP frameworks
Angular, React, Gatsby, Vue
OOP, Zend or Symfony
Tools such as Asana, Clickup, Jira, Slack
Avocode, Zeplin, inVision
Knowledge of at least one CSS methodology (BEM, ATOM, etc)
WordPress page builders (e.g. Elementor, WPBakery, Oxygen)
