Customer Enablement at Workday is all about our customers and their post Go-Live journey - we create programs to help them drive business value from their Workday applications. The team is responsible for delivering a variety of programs and services to our customers ranging from feature demonstrations to full feature deployments.

About the Role

The Workday Success Plans Delivery Team is a major pillar within Customer Enablement and delivers value to Workday customers through targeted / small scope micro consulting engagements. Our services are delivered by Workday experts acting as trusted advisors. In this role you will have the opportunity to assist customers with how-to questions, troubleshoot and guide customers through configuration and provide feature demonstrations. 

As a Workday HCM expert, customers will benefit from your knowledge as you share your experience, identify key considerations and highlight best practices. Utilizing your consulting skills, you will help customers investigate root causes and shape possible solutions. Our team of experts have a broad and deep understanding of Workday and enjoy the reward of helping customers solve problems, learn about new features and find greater value in their Workday investment. 

For this role, we look for the willingness to learn quickly and the ability to clearly articulate and demonstrate solutions. The work is fast-paced and the questions varied – the ability to think on your feet and provide sound advice is paramount. Your ability to communicate value and demonstrate software will be critical. 

 

Primary responsibilities of this role include delivering Office Hours (appointment-based consulting) and Ask-an-Expert requests. To be successful, this requires:

  • Conducting research to ensure understanding of customer questions and related Workday concepts. Primary focus area for this role is Workday HCM.
  • Delivering small scope consulting in response to customer requests; providing configuration guidance, demonstrations, considerations, tips & tricks.
  • Troubleshooting product configuration to resolve or provide optimal product configuration to meet customer business requirements.
  • Clearly and effectively communicating responses and value to customers.
  • Completing and maintaining product expertise and Workday Certification(s) along with familiarity with Workday roadmap.
  • Keeping up to date with industry practices and the ability to engage with our customers on those topics.
  • Helping drive the creation of new, value-add programs to drive customer feature adoption.

 

​In addition to delivering Office Hours and Ask-an-Expert, our Workday experts will also deliver other Workday Success Plans and Customer Enablement services, such as:

  • Accelerator Webinars to create and deliver large customer presentations on how to leverage Workday features to achieve business goals.
  • Feature Accelerators to provide one-on-one consulting guidance and assistance to help customers deploy features.
  • Feature Adoption Tenant Reviews to review customer tenants and identify adoption opportunities.
  • Review and Recommends to perform configuration and business requirements reviews with a detailed follow-up deliverable calling out opportunities for optimization.
  • Jumpstarts to provide one-on-one customer configuration designs.
  • Deployments including full deployment of Workday features.

About You

Workday Consultants act as trusted advisors to our Customers, as a result we are Business Consultants who are experts in the functional aspects of the Workday platform. If you have existing or transferable experience in any of the following areas, then we’d love to hear from you:

  • Relevant educational qualifications and/or experience implementing, supporting HCM solutions or management consulting. 
  • 5+ years of software consulting and deployment experience on large enterprise projects.
  • Understanding of cross-functional features like security and business process framework. 
  • Ability to demonstrate Workday effectively (including value, benefits, etc.) as part of any enablement program.
  • Ability to gain a thorough understanding of Workday concepts as new features are released.
  • Ability to distil complex concepts into compelling, relevant and understandable presentations.
  • Ability to demonstrate Workday effectively (including value, benefits, etc.) as part of any enablement program.
  • Ability to work on multiple engagements and deliverables simultaneously.
  • Capable of understanding complex, technical process issues and facilitate/influence decision making.
  • Capable of influencing, interacting and collaborating with senior executives, internally and externally.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (French and German communication skills are a plus)
