AME Casting Process Engineer
Miejsce pracy: Bielsko-Biała

AME Casting Process Engineer will be mainly responsible for the technical analysis of received requests for quotation, product feasibility assessment, calculation and estimation of process parameters, development of casting production projects and launching of the casting process. AME process Engineer will report to Advanced Process Engineering Manager located in Oss, The Netherlands.

 

Reponsibilities:

  • Evaluation of customer requirements related to product and process realization to ensure successful and safe future production
  • Identification of manufacturing process flow, product cycle times and its cost
  • Participation in the core quotation team, comprised of representatives from Sales (team leader), Purchasing, Manufacturing, Finance and in specific situations Program Management
  • Review, approval and sign off on program/project manufacturing feasibility  
  • Recognition of market prices for any new equipment and gauges and calculation of the costs of launching it within Shiloh facilities
  • Risk evaluation and development of mitigation plan(s) to minimize and/or reduce risk for product/projects/programs

Job requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree, preferably with course of study in Program Management or Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Prior experience with aluminum or magnesium die casting, and associated material handling equipment and automation
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience on a similar position (Program Manager, Application Engineer, Process Engineer)
  • Practical experience in project management (gate reviews process) and with APQP, PPAP, FMEA analysis, Control Plans, TS16949, feasibility assessment etc.
  • Expertise in technical specification analysis (correctness and completeness, identification of improvement opportunities)
  • Capability to read prints and understand GD&T, model visualization and engineering standards (relation to customer projects)
  • Fluency in English is mandatory (written and spoken)
  • Strong financial and business acumen, open-minded and proactive attitude 
  • Strong analytical, communication, organizational and presentation skills
