Application Manager
Location: Kraków

This is a divestiture project involving carve-out of IT systems /applications for Finance applications.
The selected candidate will have an opportunity to learn about the process of divestiture with IT systems and applications set-up, then work for a newly carved out IT organization.   

Requirements:

  • Manager with 6yrs+ experience working in a global team
  • Experience of managing global application/services or implementation projects.
  • Experience in any one of the following technologies :
    • Microsoft : .NET, SQL /SQL Server, MS SSAS, MS SSRS, Power BI, MS ProClarity
    • SharePoint
    • Java /J2EE
    • Oracle Hyperion
  • Background in Finance Domain particularly in areas of Accounting, Controlling, Tax, Treasury and managing applications related to these sub-domains
  • Thorough knowledge of IT service management concepts (ITIL).
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Strong negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills
  • Ability to promote a team environment with strong leadership skills
  • At least Bachelor’s Degree in information systems, electrical or mechanical engineering
  • High sense of responsibility and commitment
  • Systematic approach and business-oriented mindset combined with good articulation skills
  • Self-driven personality
  • Background in Finance Domain particularly in areas of Accounting, Controlling, Tax, Treasury and managing applications related to these sub-domains

Responsibilities:

  • Solutions: On assignment identifies, proposes, advises and implements existing IS application technology and IS solutions/services, sharing knowledge and guiding others on implementation and operation, using understanding of existing IS application technology and business requirements.
  • Delivery: is involved in the installation, management, maintenance, and optimization of IS solutions/services in regards of application knowledge. Is responsible for operations framework integrating Service Monitoring, Event, Incident, Problem, Change Control, Configuration Management, Service Remediation, and Service Level Agreements
  • Processes: Proactively supports the installation, management, maintenance, and optimization of internal and cross-functional processes related to IS solutions/services.
  • Governance: For assigned tasks, executes all actions in IS processes according to agreed RACIS specification.
  • Strategy: Manages assigned budget effectively and delivers activities within agreed schedules and costs. Participates in the definition of costs and schedules.
  • People leadership and development: Provides leadership to temporary work teams, guiding and monitoring task completion, sharing expert knowledge and advice normally without carrying line responsibility
  • Manage application from its initial planning, development through retirement (decommissioning).
  • Monitor everyday operations of application development team and provide regular feedback.
  • Work with business and IT teams and manage all project requirements.
  • Manage, plan, schedule and control an application or platform build through different stages (including testing and deploying) and environments.
  • Support and monitor efficient work of analysts and application specialists.
  • Collaborate with architects, quality testers, application specialist to achieve quality deliverables.
  • Consider and manage IT controls, regulatory and legal requirements while designing, delivering and running platforms, applications and services
  • Manage budget for one or more global applications and deliver activities within agreed schedules and costs.
  • Review service level reports for internal and external delivery parties and organize service performance meeting.
