Financial Analyst

Responsibilities:

  • Compile and analyze financial data
  • Perform detailed financial analyses of current and planned activities
  • Analyze and evaluate economic risk of planned activities
  • Examine profitability of specific areas of structure
  • Drive simplification of analytical spreadsheets and periodic reports
  • Participate in preparing budget, perform forecasts and plans
  • Cooperate with accounting and operations departments in the scope of delivery of data necessary for financial analyses
  • Implement reporting and management control procedures
  • Optimize management reports
  • Verify and accomplish analyses of budget tasks implementation (analysis of deviations)
  • Create reports for the Chief Financial Officer and Financial Controller
  • Provide support to the Chief Accountant during financial and tax audits
  • Support multiple business units through delivery of effective management information
  • Perform ad hoc tasks and reporting related to business unit management
  • Cooperate with financial institutions in the scope of delivery of necessary financial data, contracting parties (subcontractors, sponsors, investigators) as well

Requirements:

  • University degree preferably in Finance, Accounting or Economy
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience, including 2 years in finance and accounting department
  • Theoretical background in financial management and tax law
  • Understanding of forecasting and budgeting process
  • Literacy in MS Office applications and handling of databases
  • Knowledge of current trends in the financial market
  • Strong analytical thinking
  • Excellent communication and presentations skills
  • Very good work organization and ability to work under time pressure
  • Accuracy with attention to detail, meticulousness
  • Capacity to solve problems
  • Good team player
  • Fluent command of English and Polish
