Global Cash Services – Supervisor

In this challenging and client facing role, you will direct the Global Cash Services team to achieve overall client satisfaction and serve as a point of escalation for complex cash related issues.  The team provides services which enable clients to better manage their sources and uses of funds.  The group works closely with Reconciliation & Analysis, Investor Services, Funds Transfer, and Treasury.  There are four deliverables for our cash management services:

(1) Projection-Availability: Provide clients with their expected ending multi-currency balances out 1 to 5 days.

(2) Account Oversight: cash balance swing management and notification service, providing clients a real-time view into their USD and foreign balances activity.

(3) Cashiering (Investment Support): Is a service available to clients wanting to sweep or invest funds under a standing instruction agreement.

(4) Balance Reconciliation – Provides clients with a comparison of projected to actual cash activity and balances.  Variances are researched, and reporting provided to clients.


Responsibilities 

Control & Risk Management:

  • Oversee the day to day activities of direct reports
  • Ensure all client deliverables, deadlines and expectations are well documents and performed timely and accurately
  • Act as the primary point of escalation for internal departments for any cash related issues and proactively manage the resolution process
  • Review and discuss client cash issues with Senior Management
  • Continuously review and revise guidelines and policies to enhance team effectiveness
  • Manage controls efficiently to alleviate any areas of potential risks 

Client Servicing:

  • Establish Service standards for assigned client groups
  • Provide filtering and escalation for client requests
  • Work closely with client servicing teams to stay abreast of client goals and identify opportunities to expand client relationships
  • Build overall credibility and foster trust with clients and internal departments 

Leadership and Staff Supervision:

  • Promote a cohesive team atmosphere through exhibiting strong leadership, effective communication,  professionalism and development of individual career paths
  • Participate in the interview and selection process for job applicants
  • Oversee and ensure training
  • Participate in inter-departmental and cross-functional project teams
  • Complete and oversee the BBH annual performance review process
  • Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to staff
  • Manage succession planning for the team
  • Manage team resources, overtime and expenses

Technology/Productivity/Innovation:

  • Review and streamline functional tasks for maximum efficiency
  • Realize team and client efficiencies through increased automation and improved workflows
  • Work with internal systems groups on client and firm wide cash related projects


Qualifications 

  • BA/BS in a business related field or equivalent work experience
  • Global Custody or Fund Accounting experience a plus
  • People management and supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated client service skills
  • Technical and analytical ability
  • High learning agility
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
