PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

System integration

  • Produce & own the integration design by providing solutions to the requirements gathered aligning to strategic solutions, target & reference architectures, principles and standards; maximize reuse, scalability and standardization
  • Guide the solution integrator teams by defining integration principles, best practices and standards
  • Govern, review and quality assure the artefacts created by external suppliers and non-SA internal teams to assure the quality of delivered solution to fulfil business requirements and adhere to strategy
  • Work closely with Integration CoE and SIs and vendors to create a roadmap for Track and Trace integration
  • Leverage knowledge of new technology options and tools to identify and create business improvement opportunities
  • Use cross industry insight (e.g. best practices, trends, innovation) to assist in the design and development of integration architecture in BAT
  • Support product development team by providing integration input into user stories where appropriate 

Solution deployment

  • Hands-on involvement in all phases of deployment project providing integration input to the rest of the team
  • Support deployment team in performing local integration fit-gap and defining future remediation landscape
  • Undertake analysis of integration options and associated costs, conduct fit-gap analysis, and proof of concepts for landing Track and Trace solution to new end markets and factories
  • Ensure all local environments are properly defined and provisioned as planned

Building DevOps capability

  • Maintain DevOps tooling roadmap and monitors its execution through solution integrator
  • Define environments, process of promoting changes between different environments and the tooling required to automate the process and release on demand through continuous deployment pipeline
  • Drive continuous improvement in industrialized deployment of the solution to the new market and release to the live markets through increased use of automation; introduce relevant metrics and appropriate reporting/review mechanism

EXPERIENCE: 

  • A seasoned IT professional with, as a guideline 8+ years’ experience in the field of System Integration and DevOps
  • Multinational FMCG (ideally tobacco or pharma) and FTSE-100 experience
  • Experience in Integration Architecture and Design
  • Experience in working in Agile/Lean way (SAFE framework)
  • Excellent understanding and expert knowledge of system integration platforms (SAP PI, Axway, CPI)
  • Experience with various database, integration, and messaging technologies (EDI, ECPIS, XML, JSON, SOAP, REST, EAI, Talend, etc.)
  • Experience with developing and deploying solutions through DevOps; expert knowledge of CI/CD toolset (e.g. DevOps Azure, Jenkins, Chef)
  • Experience with Cloud offerings - IaaS, PaaS, SaaS models (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Nice to have: domain knowledge of Manufacturing/Supply Chain/Track and Trace solutions
  • Nice to have: experience of implementing Tobacco Product Directive or other serialization and track and trace legislation (e.g. in pharma industry)
