    You will be

    • Facilitating root cause investigations for service impacting incidents, communicating this to technical and non-technical stakeholders
    • Agreeing workarounds and alerts for 1st line teams to act upon in the event of incident re-occurrence
    • Implementing permanent fixes – either technical or process to prevent a re-occurrence
    • Proactively preventing incidents occurring by working with capacity management teams and by trend analysis
    • Delivering high quality knowledge and processes to those teams responsible for operating and maintaining products in production, allowing them to understand what it does, how it works and how to restore service.
    • Relentlessly work to improve the quality of information passed through to the Product Development team from Service Operations teams – increasing the effectiveness of the prioritization process and reducing the amount of development time required to create a solution.
    • Running ‘Fire Drill’ sessions to validate and rehearse support and maintenance tasks that are required for a product

    We expect you to have

    • Experience of working in a similar role is preferred but not necessary
    • Excellent English skills (both written and spoken)
    • Experience of presenting information to groups of people
    • Understanding of E-commerce and Web Technologies
    • Understanding of risk management methodologies
    • Very good communication and problem solving skills
    • Confident at chairing and facilitating meetings


    • Experience in Enterprise monitoring systems
    • Experience in working as Problem Analyst or Incident Analyst
    • Exposure to nTier architecture (for example Java, Kafka, NoSQL, Cloud Services)
