Junior Site Reliability Engineer

Overview

 

We are looking for people who are passionate about building the systems, culture, and processes that will improve the resiliency, reliability, scaling, and performance for cloud premises.


This position is part of our SaaS team. You will be developing and maintaining operational and “DevOps” systems for our suite of cloud-based solutions running on AWS.


As a Junior Site Reliability Engineer , together with the team you will be working on designing, building and running state of the art infrastructure rooted in code and best practices of SRE and DevOps cultures with a big focus on Agile Values and Principles.


Responsibilities

  • Perform a supporting engineering role in implementing new cloud projects.

  • Support, maintain and monitor cloud infrastructure under management against SLAs.

  • Write scripts and configuration management to automate repetitive tasks.

  • High level technical skills of infrastructure and cloud deployments.

  • Optimize the entire software delivery pipeline with quality built in.

  • Troubleshooting and solving complex problems with skilled colleagues.

  • Participate in on-call rotation.

Our team uses practices to maximize our development velocity, including but not limited to: ChatOps , continuous integration/deployment, code review via GitHub pull requests, and preferring asynchronous communication to meetings.

Qualifications

  • Advanced level of Linux

  • Hands on experience with AWS

  • Experience working with K8s

  • Solid understanding of automation principles and scripting experience (eg. Python, Bash, PowerShell)

  • Experience configuration management tools (eg. Terraform, Ansible, SaltStack, Chef)

  • Experience with Git

  • Understanding of Security, Monitoring and Performance aspects of cloud-native platform and application architectures

  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Very good English level

Desire Skills

  • Experience with CI/CD tooling

  • Hands on experience with EKS

  • Hands on experience with SQS

  • Hands on experience with Aurora

  • Having responsibilities of Site Reliability Engineer
