    Part of Enterprise & Operational Risk Management (EORM) at Credit Suisse, the Model Risk Management (MRM) team has a mandate to validate the Bank's business-impactful models firm-wide and more generally to identify, measure and manage model risk across Credit Suisse. 
     
    The team is established in London, Zurich, New York, Mumbai, Warsaw, Hong Kong and Singapore. 
     
    As a Model Governance Data Analyst, you will get exposure to the model risk management and validation activities of the team, and to a wide variety of areas of modelling such as credit/market/operation/liquidity risk, pricing,  


    Responsibilities:

    As Model Governance Data Analyst, you would assist in the roll-out and enhancement of firm-wide management and monitoring of data in the Model Governance System (firm-wide inventory of models and related model risk governance), including diagnosis any data or system issues. 

    You would participate in the ongoing development of the system, such as user support, data enrichments, UAT testing, data migration & reconciliation. 

    The role supports and contributes to effective management of model risk across the firm, in compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidance.

    • You will develop and run a framework of automated/semi-automated data consistency checks
    • You will raise data remediation requests to partners and track these to completion
    • You will support ad-hoc data enrichments and data migration under Model Governance System upgrades
    • You will participate in User Acceptance Tests of new Model Governance System releases
    • You will maintain existing tools – adding new and amending existing logics
    • You will be responsible for and effectively use model inventory database for model risk reporting, establishing new processes for data control and data cleanup
    • You will identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies within the department and proactively design solutions to improve them
    • You will communicate across the team both ad-hoc and in regular team meetings
    • You will prepare documentation of processes and develop standard reporting packs
    • You will contribute to the implementation of strategic, cross-functional initiatives within Model Risk Management organization

    Responsibilities:

    • You have 1-2 years of practical experience in the financial services industry (preferred). Data analyst and/or project/program/change/ static data management/system parametrization management experience would be desirable
    • You hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science)
    • You are proficient in Excel required for data analysis and report generation
    • You are able to prepare compelling PowerPoint presentations
    • Knowledge of VBA or Python or SQL would be an advantage
    • You are client-focused and the know how to communicate effectively with a wide of partners, including the ability to explain complex topics to a diverse range of audiences
    • You have strong drive, motivation, customer focus (e.g. key partners), proactivity and willingness to take ownership and committing to achieve high quality of outputs and service
    • You are highly organised and self-motivated individual, able to learn quickly, be enthusiastic and work independently
