    The Chief Technology Office (CTO) is a global IT organization responsible for delivering comprehensive set of infrastructure, software and processes across the Credit Suisse Group.

    Your main tasks will be the administration of the Oracle 11g and 12c databases and the maintenance of multiple Oracle instances. You will upgrade and migrate Oracle databases and be involved in the configuration management and backup recovery.

    In addition to operational responsibilities you will provide various services to our developers within the company. This will include execution of pre-defined tasks, troubleshooting and continual service improvement. It will also include consultancy during upgrades and platform migrations, as well as assistance in automation efforts that will carry releases through to production. Ad-hoc requests will require a flexible and enthusiastic teammate to take ownership and see tasks to completion.

    You should have the following qualifications:

    • Good SQL and scripting language (Perl, shell) knowledge
    • Understanding of Oracle Internet Directory, and Active Directory
    • Experience in Automation, Testing and Packaging (MSI, RPM’s)
    • Exposure to Application/Middleware Server software
    • Capacity Planning & Asset Management
    • Professional DBA (Oracle 11g, 12c) with experience in some of the following disciplines:
      • Work experience on Oracle RAC and ASM
      • Usage of RMAN ( Restore/Backup)
      • Usage and understanding of Grid Control / DB Monitoring
      • Usage of Dataguard
      • Working experience with Linux


    • You will be willing to improve current environment/processes
    • You have prior work experience in International Teams (preferably financial institution)
    • You have experience in security/vulnerability management
    • You will be able to interact with projects and application development with a solid focus on customer requirements
    • High level of flexibility, energy and team spirit
    • Fluent written and spoken English (German - optional)
