Paragon Medical is a supplier of ready-made world-class solutions in non-standard and standard delivery systems for surgical instruments as well as design and development of services on the market of medical tools. In 1991 we created a strategic centers of improvement in the USA, Europe and Asia. Offices and production halls are located in Pierceton (Indiana), Indianapolis (Indiana), Smithfield (Utah), Lausanne (Switzerland), Changzhou (China) and Siechnice (Poland).
In our plant in Siechnice, we produce implants and surgical instruments, as well as case and trays for these elements.

Project Manager

Essential functions::

  • Drives opportunity assessment and project proposals at project initiation.
  • Oversees quoting activities including the process outline and costing.
  • Leads project requirement checklists through justification and/or rationalization of activities associated with product launch.
  • Owns project planning and timeline execution.
  • Manages all aspects of the project as required.
  • Monitors processes required to ensure efficient, timely and compliant deliveries of a project from proposal to completion ensuring that activities are carried out according to the timeline and budget.
  • Responsible for monitoring and communicating product introduction schedules and plans.
  • Interfaces often with customers and across functional areas concerning project efforts. Collaborates with customers to ensure harmonious project coordination throughout the entire launch process.
  • Ensures that the customer requirements have been identified and are adequately communicated.
  • Guides pFEMA development and team discussions along with managing the risk mitigation activities and testing.
  • Facilitates ECN process.
  • Communicates and works with manufacturing to ensure design manufacturability.
  • Reports on project performance metrics.
  • Supports purchasing in supply chain integration.
  • Leads pre/post production meetings.
  • Leads cross-functional teams to successfully complete assigned projects.
  • Works proactively with the team to share best-practices, and lessons learned.
  • Fosters close and productive relationships with cross-functional counterparts.
  • May work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Work and travel for customer support and with Business Development to solicit new program opportunities and maintain alignment of overall business strategies and long-term goals.
  • Drives the implementation of the Advanced Manufacturing Group methodologies corporate-wide.
  • Understands, practices, and enforces corporate policies and procedures. Supports all departmental strategies and corporate goals and objectives

Experience / Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred (Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering).
  • Minimum three years of experience in new product development and commercialization within medical device manufacturing, ideally in orthopaedics, is preferred.
  • Experience with tight tolerance methods in machining and measurement system applications, blueprint reading, GD&T, working knowledge of short run process control methods, statistical analysis, DOE, ISO standards and FDA quality system regulations.
  • Windows-based computer knowledge required.
  • Minimum three years of experience in project management (strategic/tactical planning and implementation capabilities) leading cross-functional teams and multiple projects coupled with strong technical and conceptual aptitude required.
  • Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles, biocompatibility requirements for materials, ISO13485 and US QSR 21 CFR, Part 820 Medical Devices, and basic understanding of the human anatomy preferred.
  • Knowledge of various metal and polymer materials as well as testing specifications preferred.
