Your Tasks

  • Development, implementation and maintenance of a country purchasing strategy in the assigned categories and agreement with the relevant specialist areas and contact partners in the region and global purchasing and supplier management
  • Countrywide responsibility for the purchasing costs of assigned category/categories
  • Countrywide planning and tracking of budgetary prerequisites, and development of purchasing costs in agreement with the relevant specialist areas and regional/global contact partners
  • Analysis of the category’s purchasing volume in country
  • Creation of market analyses and procurement strategies
  • Identification, initiation, and promotion of potential savings and improvements (e.g. initiation of make-or-buy analyses) as well as responsibility for the up-to-dateness of project data in the Purchasing reporting system
  • Monitoring of project implementation and initiation of countermeasures if the project target is jeopardized
  • Risk management and task force/troubleshooting with QCD issues for all suppliers assigned as part of the Supplier Management Assignment
  • Negotiation of prices, conditions, and contracts as well as requests for bids for suppliers assigned as part of the Supplier Management Assignment.
  • Ensuring the publication of concluded prices, conditions, and contracts for the suppliers that are negotiated according to the SMA
  • Initiation and implementation of the supplier selection and supplier approval process in accordance with the category-specific requirement matrix, creation of awarding of contract decision forms, and nomination of suppliers
  • Active management of the supplier portfolio (e.g. ensuring the correct supplier assignment, supplier classification, supplier assessment, and supplier development) as well as active management of highly-volatile and supply-critical materials and services
  • Regular coordination with the relevant specialist departments and the regional/global contact partners in order to increase customer satisfaction
  • Selection of suitable purchasing tools and definition of the purchasing processes that are to be used
  • Participation in the shaping of the process landscape in Purchasing, as well as the initiation and support of continuous improvement measures, some of them in collaboration with MOVE

Your Profile

  • Minimum 2 years of purchasing / sourcing experience
  • Solid experience of purchasing processes required
  • Strong interpersonal skills, multi-tasking and time management skills enable you to quickly gain trust and build up solid working relationships
  • Experience in Change Management and Process Transformation
  • Accomplishments in financial analytics, communication and presentation
  • Excellent knowledge in Microsoft Office applications and procurement tools (e.g. SAP MM) is required
  • Advanced English and German verbal and written communication skills
  • Additionally, a strong customer orientation and good communication skills are desired as well as a solution-oriented and structured way of working and a good analytical thinking ability
  • Willingness for international travel activities, driving license required
  • An ability to drill-down and find solutions independently as well as an interest in new technologies, open-mindedness, and enthusiasm
  • Fun working as part of an international team and being an active team player will round off your profile
