    RC Assurance Senior Analyst
    Location: Kraków

    HSBC’s Regulatory Compliance Monitoring and Testing (RCMAT) programme provides ongoing, periodic monitoring and comprehensive testing for adherence to RC requirements. The bank’s RCMAT model will operate consistently in all countries to deliver greater transparency and consistency of the reporting of global RC risks. RCMAT Managers are a key Compliance role, responsible for coordinating RCMAT activity either Globally, Regionally or with in-country.

    Main Duties:

    • Development of the initial Key Risk Indicators (KRI) in conjunction with Global Risk Analytics (GRA)to demonstrate the value of this work and to feed into 2019 AOP (Annual Operating Plan)
    • Developing a Target Operating Model for Regulatory Compliance Monitoring and Testing (RC MAT) ‘business-as-usual’(BAU) data and analytics capability for 2019 and beyond.  This will include an assessment of which countries could benefit from local technical expertise as has already been established in the UK or which could benefit from regional GSC support. 
    • The role holder will be responsible for conducting data analysis that will support RCMAT’s monitoring teams as part of the BAU RCMAT Review process. In addition, the roleholder will support the strategic build, and ongoing management, of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and investigation of automated alerts to identify out of the norm activity for further analysis.

    Requirements:

    • Strong inter-personal skills, excellent planning, prioritisation and documentation skills are essential;
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, dealing with senior executives; effective and concise
    • Good working knowledge of Regulatory Compliance requirements and risk-based monitoring techniques;
    • General understanding of the risk management and control function
    • Varied business and regulatory experience
    • Relevant analytics experience in a complex organisation (e.g. banking, large financial services institution, Big 4 firm)
    • Role relevant qualifications and experience of using relevant software packages, i.e. SAS, SQL,VBA, Excel, QlikView, Tableau
    • Strong investigative and analytical skills
    • Delivery focused; demonstrating an ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines
    • Knowledge of Compliance Officer Handbooks, Procedures and Manuals
    • Enthusiastic, pro-active, self-starter with a drive to deliver high quality monitoring standards;
    • Good knowledge of the English language and grammar;
    • A proven track record of quickly acquiring new skills and expertise;
    • Lateral, creative thinker with good problem solving and analytical skills;
    • High level of professional and personal integrity.
