    Regulatory Reporting Quality Assurance Analyst # 096658

    The GM EMEA Regulatory Services Department is responsible for several reporting obligations to Central Banks, Trade Repositories and National Competent Authorities, including MiFID Transaction Reporting, G20 Derivative Reform reporting, Bank of England SONIA Benchmark reporting, Depositor Guarantee Scheme and Bank Recovery and Resolution reporting.


    The team handles the reporting process, the production of management information, the control framework and the reconciliations required to ensure that the reporting obligations are fulfilled in a timely, complete and accurate manner. Alongside business as usual the team also handles the resolution of extraordinary issues & change management.


    Within the Department the Quality Assurance Review (QAR) team performs reviews designed to identify issues that would not normally be identified within the business as usual process. You will perform quality assurance reviews to assess adherence to industry and regulatory standards and will develop a QA program across reporting obligations to maximise the efficiency of the process.



    As the chosen individual you will be responsible for:

    • Gaining an in depth understanding of various regulatory reporting obligations
    • Design and execute Quality Assurance Reviews across source systems and reporting streams. Identify strengths and weaknesses with regards to adherence to internal policies and procedures
    • Complete risk-based scenario testing for upstream source systems and trading scenarios
    • Reporting of findings and recommend improvements to the existing processes
    • Perform analysis in conjunction with IT and change teams to identify cause of any issues
    • Raise items to change management and IT for remediation
    • Deliver a detailed Quality Assurance Review document with noted actions and remediation points
    • Communicate results, analysis of themes and recommended changes to senior management
    • Build key relationships across business, compliance, change management, internal audit and IT functions

    • An excellent written and verbal English skills
    • You feel comfortable with your analytical skills, what makes you able to assess processes, identify and implement improvements for control / efficiency gains
    • You experience in project management/coordination will be considered as a plus
    • Banking/Financial experience is an advantage
    • Your client service experience would be an asset
    • Degree in finance/banking is a plus
    • If you are proficient Excel user, and are familiar with basic VBA knowledge, it is an asset
    • Excellent organizational, social & communication skills
    • You can perform to high level of accuracy and have good attention to detail
