Researcher, Information Services Coordinator
Location: Warsaw
Based in our EMEA Global Business Services in Warsaw, the role is to work as part of a regional team to provide basic research and information services to consulting and administrative staff using a wide portfolio of major tools and databases.

The IS Coordinator will work remotely for the people he/she supports and therefore, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to forge strong and successful working relationships without face-to-face interaction is essential. This role requires interactions with managers and the team members across EMEA IS Cluster.

This position will provide many learning opportunities for a team player who is motivated by consistently achieving high standards.

Responsibilities:

Research Support

  • Conducts research for EMEA case teams, Practice Areas and client development utilizing electronic, and other resources as assigned under the guidance of a Senior Information Services Team Leader
  • Provides filtered research results
  • Should also be proficient in conducting research in all areas of interest to Bain
  • Proactively works with IS Managers and team members to understand the context of the case and specific case information needs
  • Solicits feedback from internal clients on performed research
  • Tracks personal research requests including appropriate cost recovery information

Asset Building

  • Participates in asset building projects as appropriate
  • Participates as a member of EMEA IS Team
  • Proactively seeks opportunities to broaden and deepen skill set by participating in special projects  

Tools

  • While helpful, no prior experience in these activities is assumed or required. Coordinator will have the opportunity to work with a range of database to support case team’s needs

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree (or final-year student) in business or finance & accounting related field
  • Experience with business research preferred
  • Fluent English 
  • Very good MS Excel skills
  • Ability to learn new skills, databases and tools quickly
  • Analytical mindset, problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a professional, customer-focused attitude
  • Ability to communicate effectively (written and oral) with case teams and Consulting Support Services team
  • Team player by demonstrating “one team” attitude
  • Eager to work in demand driven organisation
