    Safety, Health & Environment Coordinator

    Location: Katowice HUB


    The Katowice Hub Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Coordinator is a key role at the Katowice Hub:Responsible for Safety, Health & Environment for the Katowice Hub site and its employees of Unilever Poland Services Sp. z.o.o.Tracking safety compliance for the European Logistics network. 


    Main Responsibilities:


    • Ensuring legal compliance of Katowice Hub and that the site meets all local/national regulatory requirements and Unilever standards, implement relevant procedures and policies.  
    • Ensuring that all line managers and employees take part in the required safety trainings and medical examinations.
    • Coordinate the Unilever Be Safe program at the Katowice Hub and act as Be Safe master coach for at least another Unilever site.
    • Drive safety and environment risk assessment and develop/implement appropriate controls.
    • Planning the preventive and corrective actions, preparation of the yearly action plan to realize goals.
    • Develop and deploy internal SHE auditing. Implementation of inspection systems, participate in audits of other Unilever organizations as required.
    • Continuous development of safety and environmental awareness and mindset of line managers and employees.
    • Developing and implementing necessary tools to monitor safety and environmental KPIs.
    • Reporting to UL safety and environmental performance indicators and compliance of company activity versus Unilever requirements.
    • Preparation and submission of reports to external institutions for safety and environmental protection.
    • Creation of the organizational frames for the control systems for safety, fire, environmental rules and for rules and procedures of the Employer
    • Investigating and reporting of accidents at work and other SHE serious incidents.
    • Work closely with Occupational Health personnel to identify and mitigate risks which may lead to occupational ill health.
    • Driving the first aid leader’s community on site incl. relevant trainings.
    • Managing the part time safety specialist and the relationship with its 3rd party safety consulting company the Katowice Hub is using.  
    •  Leading Safety at the Site Leadership Team
    • Acting as first point of contact for the Katowice Hub facility manager from Sodexo



    • Master’s degree or Postgraduate studies in OH&S,
    • Postgraduate studies in fire protection or university degree in Fire Safety Engineering will be appreciated
    • At least 3 years of experience in the service of health and safety.
    • Manufacturing and/or Engineering/ Logistic experience will be appreciated
    • Communications skills, analytical skills and creativity
    • Very good knowledge of practical English in written and spoken
    • Very good knowledge of computer / MS Windows
    • Ability to work with a team
