    Senior Continuous Improvement Specialist

    • Lead end to end complex Continuous Improvement projects from scoping to delivery across Tax processes
    • Drive the development of CI mindset through various improvement initiatives
    • Coach Tax process staff including senior leaders in delivery of CI projects using appropriate CI methodology
    • Lead facilitation of workshops to drive end to end improvements
    • Drive bottom line benefits within Tax to assist Shell Finance to close the value gap
    • Lead the development of the Low Cost Automation (LCA) pipeline and delivery for Tax Team Krakow scope
    • Coach leaders in tax organisation to sustainably implement LSW and to build CI Capability. 
    • The incumbent will lead and coach a number of improvement projects p.a. Typically objective will be to improve key metrics performance, generate savings and add business value.
    • Support Finance Operations Tax teams based in Krakow (including tax team, Transfer pricing and Tax Process Owner organisation). Total FTE’s supported of approx. 250. 
    • Drive development of pipeline of improvement projects with Tax Europe and US organisations.

    Minimum qualifications:

    • Certified Lean Sigma Greenbelt or Blackbelt preferred; If not certified then a strong continuous improvement mindset is required and desire to certify as Lean Sigma Blackbelt within two years
    • Minimum University degree, preferably with at least eight years work experience
    • Prior experience of Shell financial processes and controls is highly desirable
    • Experience in facilitating workshop and coaching/ mentoring activities

    Key Competences Required:

    • Strong team-working skills with the ability to influence and motivate large diverse teams to embrace and deliver sustained operational improvement.
    • Excellent communications skills, both written and oral
    • The role involves extensive interactions with various stakeholders and therefore requires a combination of intellect, maturity, strength of character, and an ability to earn respect. As senior CI specialist will be expected to indpendently engage with senior stakeholders in the the FX Tax and FO tax organisation and influence them to build the CI pipeline and capability. The seniority of stakeholders will range from JGB to JG6.
    • Proven organizational and prioritization skills
    • Passion and sense of urgency for executing performance improvement projects
    • Change agent with strong stakeholder management experience with credibility and influencing skills including ability to coach senior leaders 
    • Self-motivated and possess demonstrated ability to motivate others to achieve results
    • Demonstrated strong analytical, interpretive and presentation skills; able to synthesize complex information and prepare concise, compelling presentations
    • Demonstrated strong process and project management skills
