Join us as a Senior Financial Controller

  • In the role you’ll be accountable for the integrity of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial information
  • Providing support to legal entities controllers, you'll get insight into a wide range of statutory, regulatory and legal entity management matters

What you'll do

As a Senior Financial Controller, you’ll help to deliver the balance sheet, profit and loss accounts, and reporting for major bank-wide legal entities, according to the accounting and reporting standards. You’ll also support building and maintaining a proper legal entity control framework through oversight and assurance activities, leading remediation projects for identified legal entities control and reporting deficiencies.

You’ll support us to deliver end to end financial control activity through the preparation and management of accounts, oversight of internal and external legal entity reporting, reconciliation schedules and supporting documentation.

Through the course of your work, you’ll also:

  • Assist in establishing, documenting and following operating procedures which includes controls to meet policy requirements
  • Support the improvement, simplification and streamlining of legal entities control and reporting processes
  • Assist in the implementation of new control and reporting  requirements

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for a qualified accountant or someone who is working towards this. You’ll have experience of providing financial information for review, gained within a financial services environment.

We’ll also look to you to bring:

  • Experience of working to tight deadlines and managing key financial deliverables
  • Strong technical accounting skills with knowledge of statutory accounts production
  • An understanding and knowledge of the financial control environment
  • An astute eye for detail and the ability to investigate issues effectively
  • The ability to build and enhance key relationships at a senior level, influencing and challenging as required
  • The confidence to challenge status quo
