ABOUT THE JOB:

We are looking for a talented and experienced R&D manager to help us build a world-class Software development R&D unit. Succeeding in this mission is based on successfully developing and inspiring great people, great product and great way of working, together.
 
OpusCapita develops an extensive software portfolio to help its global customer to digitalize their global trading. This position is a team manager position in the Source to Pay business unit leading the development of new products and services.

Our software portfolio is cloud-based, containerized, built for large scale and globally spread customers. High availability, performance, fault tolerance are in the essence of the solution at a technical level. On the business side, being the second generation of an older product means that we have an existing customer base with precise business needs expecting our software to support their needs and exceed their expectations, the fit and vision of the business domain is essential.

In this position, you will lead a local team and will collaborate on a daily basis with other teams in different locations and people from our other R&D sites within Europe. As an R&D manager, you will work closely with the head of Source to Pay R&D and your colleagues R&D managers of the other products developed in the Source to Pay business unit. You will also be a key contact person with other key people in other functions like product management, customer support and professional services.

What we expect from you is to be an inspirational leader both on the technical side as well as the behaviour side. We will expect you to be a key player in change management, continuous improvements and bringing structure to R&D to perform consistently. Having a strong stand for your team is a must, also looking at the bigger picture and how you will impact the whole organization through is what will make a difference.

What we are looking for:

  • 5-10 years in R&D management positions
  • Ideally good expertise in the financial business domain, ERPs and Business Messages
  • A true people leader
  • Expertise and motivation in developing teams
  • A continuous learner
  • Expertise with the architecture of cloud-based software
  • Expertise with modern software development practices and tools to support them
  • Experience in managing subcontractors is a bonus
  • Expertise working with Agile and Lean practices
  • Great presentation and communication skills
  • Fluent in English
