The Statistical Operations department (StatOps) mainly deals with maintaining the universe of stores, estimating non-cooperating chains’ sales and solving client queries. This is where statistical theory meets day-to-day practice. Everyday work revolves around ensuring the high quality of the setup used in the various markets reported by Nielsen as well as analyzing any potential concerns in the data which  a client may have. It is an important link in the chain of Nielsen activities and our analysts are often engaged in cross-department cooperation.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Make the necessary validation and correction exercises throughout the production process
  • Monitor and support the activities of the outsourced statistical operation team
  • Execute statistical estimation
  • Provide analysis and solution for client queries
  • Participate in development and standardization of the method related process

Requirements:

  •  Students or newly graduates of  technical / economic fields
  • Ready to work full time
  • Advanced computer skills (proficiency in Ms Excel)
  • Knowledge of SAS, Access or SQL would be an asset
  • Good command of English
  • Strong analysis skills and accuracy
  • Problem solving skills and proactivity
  • An interest in market research.
