Technical Solution Manager

Technical Solution Manager is responsible for the development of IBM technical solutions directly to customers. Combination of IBM and non-IBM offerings, services, labor, assets, hardware and software are used to meet client business requirements.

On this role you will orchestrate the development of complex, multi-year, custom solutions and associated cost cases. The directions you establish are the foundation of IBM's solution and heavily influence sales, human resources, contract and delivery strategies for the engagement. You are required to anticipate and develop and define innovative services solutions which match the customer's and IBM's tactical and strategic requirements.

The TSM own the definition of the services solutions end to end and are the primary source of engagement management, and solution design around the world and across technical disciplines. You are responsible for ensuring high quality in the solution and be able to present it to the customer in a professional and compelling way.

Requirements:

1. Project Managemet and Soft skills:

  • leadership – ability to work and lead lead in a team based engagement environment
  • delivery focused, data driven, detail-oriented approach with clear accountability for performance and execution is required
  • excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, facilitation and presentation skills are essential to succeed in client relationship
  • work with minimal management direction and communicate well with client and IBM executives
  • understanding of the financial impact of recommendations to a client's business
  • experience in Client Facing role, for example: consulting, building IT solutions, pre-sales, implementation of IT solutions
  • ability to work in a dynamic and multicultural environment within IT business

2. Technical skills in Mainframe area:

  • deep understanding and knowledge of mainframe systems: z/OS, z/VM, zLinux
  • IBM, CA, BMC software knowledge, e.g.: IMS, DB2, MQ, WAS, CICS, CA-7, etc.
  • familiarity with mainframe software licensing systems
  • ability to assess workload for complexity and required staffing
  • knowledge of enterprise systems basic legal regulations when solutioning Mainframe architecture and choosing delivery parties
  • understanding of Mainframe Network connections
  • Information Technology experience with specialty in the area of Enterprise Scale Application Performance and Optimization
  • knowledge of IBM Cloud on system z

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 5 years experience in Perform Consultative Selling
  • At least 5 years experience in Develop Team Focus & Plan
  • At least 5 years experience in Lead Engagement Process & Practices
  • At least 5 years experience in Perform in Complex & Multinational Engagements
  • English: Fluent

Preferred

  • Master's Degree
  • At least 8 years experience in Perform Consultative Selling
  • At least 8 years experience in Develop Team Focus & Plan
  • At least 8 years experience in Lead Engagement Process & Practices
  • At least 8 years experience in Perform in Complex & Multinational Engagements
